Kiwi the Eclectus: A Parrot with Personality and a Passion for Grooming

Meet Kiwi, the striking male Eclectus Parrot with a personality as vibrant as his emerald-green feathers. Smart, affectionate, and full of charm, Kiwi has a special love for his owner, Kylah—and a keen interest in well-groomed nails!

An Intelligent and Social Companion

Eclectus Parrots are known for their intelligence, emotional awareness, and deep connections with their humans. Seen here with Dr Briony Starer, his manicurist, Kiwi is no exception. He recognises faces, understands emotions, and enjoys interacting with Kylah. These parrots thrive on companionship and often form strong bonds with one special person.

Kiwi’s Grooming Instincts

Parrots are natural groomers, spending hours preening their feathers to keep them in top condition. Kiwi, with his meticulous nature, seems to extend this instinct beyond himself—taking an interest in neatly trimmed nails. Whether it’s inspecting hands or simply appreciating well-kept claws, his attention to detail is all part of his charm!
